digital art… so i was a little bored.

a challenge

Sorry for all the video posts, they were too good not to share. Anyway...

lately i've been obsessed with making smaller paintings, i just enjoy it some how. i freeze up when i try to make something large, the images never look right to me when they are big. but i want to brake out of this shell and try making bigger pieces. so i recently purchased 5 stretched canvases in various sizes one of them being a 18"x24" not the largest size i have worked one... but still this is pretty big. this might be a challenge. so here is my goal: i will have completed a work of art on the 18"x24" canvas by the 23rd of this month giving me 15 day to "make it work" as Tim Gunn would say. (okay so i have an obsession with Project Runway too, the show is so good) but yeah so expect a post on the 23rd with a big painting in it.

i absolutely love this video. i being a bit of an art buff loved the bands interpretations of historic/famous paintings... so brilliantly done. the song isn't to bad as well.

Its a cold snowy day... i didn't have to work so i decided to stay in all day so thought i should make my day somewhat productive. So i began painting. I did this today after attempting to paint a portrait of Thom Yorke which is failing miserably. anyway good day... hopefully more paintings to come.

So i've stumbled upon Olivier DE SAGAZAN an amazing french artist/performer,who's work is disturbingly amazing and I'd have to say beautiful. I find beauty in the grotesque and dark. Check this video out.
